Call us to discuss your insurance plans and payment options. Some of the most common walk-in pediatric emergencies that our office treats with our services include:

Toothaches

Have your child rinse with warm salt water to alleviate any swelling and rinse away debris. Examine their mouth for signs of lodged food or swelling. Floss between teeth to check for anything stuck, such as popcorn or other food. Call our office to schedule an appointment within the next day or two.

Broken or Chipped Teeth

Depending on the severity of the fracture, we may want to bond over the area, smooth it out, attach the broken tooth portion back, or perform a more therapeutic treatment (such as a pulpotomy). The key is to see us right away and if possible, bring the tooth fragment with you. Store it in milk or water to keep it moist.

Loose Tooth

Sometimes teeth get knocked loose before they should, or baby teeth don’t come out very easily. If your child is struggling with losing a tooth on time, we can offer assistance so that it isn’t accidentally swallowed or inhaled. If a permanent tooth is loose, notify us right away.

Knocked Out Tooth

Apply a clean compress to the mouth to prevent any excess bleeding. Locate the knocked-out tooth and store it in a sealed container, completely submerged in milk or contact solution. Get to our office within the next hour so that the tooth can be reinserted.

Bit Lip or Tongue

Teeth are sharp, and sometimes that means a misplaced bite leads to cutting into a lip or cheek. Since the mouth bleeds easily, the best thing to do is apply a cool, damp compress to the area until bleeding subsides. If the cut seems severe, give our office a call.

Bleeding or Swelling

Facial swelling or swollen gums could be the result of a serious dental abscess. Seek treatment as quickly as possible, before inflammation spreads further into the face. In rare situations, these infections may be so severe that they require hospitalization.

Abscessed Teeth

Tooth abscesses usually look like small pimples on the gums next to a tooth. They may drain but come back shortly thereafter. Immediate care is needed to avoid spread of infection to the face.
